Harrington, DE- P T Stable’s Effingham ($119.40, Ross Wolfenden) sprung a 58-to-1 upset in the $22,500 Free-for-All Pace Monday (May 27) at Harrington Raceway.

The 5-year-old Sunshine Beach split horses in deep stretch and finished with a flourish to achieve his seventh win of the year. Effingham was last at the half-mile and seventh at the three-quarters before his stretch surge. Pacesetter On The Cards N was second with Mack third. Trained by Crissy Crissman-Bier, it was Effingham’s fifth win already at the current meet, with most wins coming at the $45,000 claiming level previously.

Trainer Jason Johnson had a big night with three training wins, with two coming for owners Mulligan and Calcutta Stables.

Driver Tony Morgan had four wins on the card, while Allan Davis had a driving triple.
