East Rutherford, NJ — Racing fans will be able to cheer on Enough Talk as he competes in the Elitlopp, Europe’s most prestigious harness racing event, on Sunday morning, May 25.

The Elitlopp is part of a six-race program to be simulcast from Stockholm’s Solvalla Racecourse. Guests will be able to wager on the Swedish races, which start at 10:05 a.m., at the Meadowlands, Monmouth Park and Favorites at Woodbridge. The final heat of the Elitlopp is scheduled for 11:05 a.m. Free past performances will be available at program stands. Gates open at 9:45 a.m. Admission is free until 11:00 a.m.

Enough Talk, trained by Peter Kleinhans, was invited to compete in the Elitlopp after a 1:52.2 world record performance at Dover and a similarly impressive score in the Su Mac Lad Series at the Meadowlands. After a puzzling misstep in the Su Mac Lad Final, Enough Talk rebounded with an effortless 1:53.2 win at Harrah’s Chester and was off to Sweden a few days later.

Kleinhans purchased Enough Talk for $250,000 from Matthew Butcher, Jr. on March 2, 2008. The gelding first caught Kleinhans’ eye during his 3-year-old campaign in 2006. He won 11 of 22 starts and $189,206 as a sophomore and continued to impress last season, winning six of 14, while racing exclusively in New York. In 2008, he is four-for-nine, giving him a career total of 22 wins and $381,466 entering the Elitlopp.

Enough Talk, who is stabled at the Meadowlands, will race in the second elimination heat. He will start from post four with Luc Ouellette, who captured the Meadowlands driving title four times before moving back to his native Canada. The top four finishers compete in the final heat.
