Emmor T. Baily, 91, dies

Columbus, OH — Emmor Thomas Baily, 91, of Lebanon, Ohio, died April 9, 2017.

Born to Emmor D. and Pearl S. (nee Gardner) Baily on April 27, 1925, in Lebanon, he was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School.

He was active for many years with the Warren County Fair Board and raced Standardbreds at Lebanon Raceway for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge, a veteran of the United States Navy and a volunteer for the Republican Party in Lebanon.

He had a strong love for animals, farming and gardening.

Mr. Baily is survived by his loving wife, Jane (nee Manis); sons, Emmor Stephen (Molly) and David Bruce; daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” (Tim) Hall; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip Ray; sister, Evelyn Rodgers; and the mother of his children, Phyllis Mounts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday (April 27) from 4-5 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 5 p.m., all at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
