Batavia, NY — Bettor B Lucky, the 3-year-old daughter of Bettor’s Delight-Hornby Lucky who last Sunday won the $250,850 Empire Breeders Classic for pacing fillies at Tioga Downs, returns to the track in New York Sire Stakes action on Sunday afternoon (August 19) at Batavia Downs Casino. Post time is 1:15 p.m.

The Sunday 12-race matinee features three divisions of NYSS for sophomore pacing fillies worth more than $42,000 each and three divisions of the Excelsior series.

Bettor B Lucky, going out for the first time with Jim Morrill, Jr. in the bike, scored the big upset at odds of 18-1 in the Empire Breeders when she defeated the favored Jimmy Takter trained entry of American Jewel and Romantic Moment in 1:50, a new lifetime mark. The Ron Burke trainee raised her lifetime earnings to just over $300,000.

She has been installed as the 6-5 morning line favorite in the Sunday opener. Morrill gets the return call.
