Campbellville, ON — Enough Talk is certainly no stranger to winning major races and beating the best older trotters in North America.

He sports more than $1.3 million in earnings and has the distinction of being the fastest trotter ever in the history of harness racing with a world record time of 1:49.3 taken in 2008 at Colonial Downs.

Enough Talk will start from the rail in Saturday night’s Maple Leaf Trot.

Enough Talk is looking to add another stakes victory Saturday night (July 24) at Mohawk Racetrack in the C$772,000 Maple Leaf Trot, one race he has yet to win. In fact, after making a costly break in last year’s elimination, Enough Talk failed to make it to the lucrative final.

Trainer Peter Kleinhans will send his charge to the gate from post one again in this year’s final with regular pilot Ron Pierce handling the lines for Kleinhans and co-owner Jerry Silva.

Despite the adversity a year ago, Kleinhans believes Enough Talk is a different horse this time.

“Last year going into the Maple Leaf Trot, my horse just wasn‘t right. He wasn’t 100 percent sound and he had some issues we had to deal with,” Kleinhans told WEG’s media department.

“I think it’s safe to say that my horse and Lucky Jim are head and shoulders above the rest of the field and in North America. I would consider Arch Madness in there as well but he didn’t perform as expected last week,” Kleinhan commented.

When asked how he thought the race would unfold, Kleinhans predicts a lot of movement in the race.

“I think there will be a few horses gunning for position from the start. I can see my horse leaving from the rail as well as Lucky Jim and San Pail. I can also imagine Define The World leaving from post 10 and looking for position in the middle of the field.

“I can also see a few leadership changes down the backstretch. Lucky Jim will want the front as well as my horse and San Pail. It will be an exciting race to watch.”

Kleinhans also told WEG’s media department that Enough Talk is currently stabled in Ontario with trainer Orjan Torstensson.

The Maple Leaf Trot goes to post in race seven which is scheduled for 9:45 p.m. It will be part of a two-hour special to be aired nationally on The Score from 9-11 p.m. The show will also feature the finals of the Armbro Flight and Roses Are Red.

Kleinhans will also be a special guest with Greg Blanchard Saturday night as they host a beginner betting seminar taking place at 6:30 p.m.
