ESPN airs Roger Huston/deer video

by Ellen Harvey, Harness Racing Communications

Freehold, NJ — The races at The Meadows were delayed a few minutes on Wednesday evening while a trio of deer made their way around the track. Track announcer Roger Huston injected some levity in the delay by momentarily “calling” the three deer hopping around the track.

ESPN’s SportsCenter is airing the escapade as part of their “Not The Top Ten” feature at the close of each show for the rest of today.

The clip appears briefly in the show’s open at a few seconds past the hour and the entire segment (deer racing is #3) airs at approximately 55 minutes past each hour.

The spot was placed by the USTA’s Harness Racing Communications division.
