Face Time Bourbon goes for the world record in Finland

Will Sebastian K still have the world record for older trotters on a five-eighths-mile track after Sunday?

Face Time Bourbon with Eric Raffin in the bike takes a shot at the world record Sunday afternoon (July 18) in Finland. Face Time Bourbon is among the eight starters in the St Michels Races at the fast Mikkeli track, a five-eighths-mile track situated in a forest.

Face Time Bourbon goes into the race with a record of 1:51.1, which he trotted over 1-5/16 miles at Vincennes last time out.

The race record is held by Nex Direction, who won the race last year in 1:50.4f. And now the field in Mikkeli will go after Sebastian K’s world record of 1:49f.

Face Time Bourbon arrived in Finland by plane Saturday together with another top French trotter, Billie de Montfort, who will have Gabriele Gelormini in the bike.

The start list, with purse for the winner of 80,000 Euro, or $95,000, is as follows.
