Pompano Beach, Florida – September 6, 2005 – Famous Lover goes for his fourth straight win Wednesday at Pompano Park in the $6,178 5th race, one of six divisions of the Florida Sunshine Stakes for trotters.

A three-year-old gelding by Famously, Famous Lover was unraced at age 2 and is making up for lost time. This year he sports earnings of $20,271 for breeder/owners Christine Garrity and Anthony Amante of Delray Beach. Famous Lover is trained by George Harp, Jr. and will be driven from post seven by John Kakaley.

Famous Lover is part of an entry with Dee Day Fame (post 4), who will be driven by Wally Hennessey. Last year Dee Day Fame won 7 of 11 starts and earned $66,000 but has yet to rebound at age 3.

The only other return winner in the field is Youngbro Patriot from post eight for driver Bruce Ranger. Trained by Tom Beckette, Youngbro Patriot won a division of the Sunshine Stakes last week, his maiden victory for owners Bruce Ranger and Jean Bryar of Pompano Beach.

Other contenders include Talk About Me (post six) and Jaguar (post nine).

J P Sage, a winner in four of her five starts, heads the 1st race $5,668 division for two-year-old trotting fillies. She starts from post four for trainer/driver Mike Deters.

Admiral Nemo, the top two-year-old trotting colt this year, goes for his fifth straight win in a non-wagering division at 6:50 pm. He starts from the rail for driver Bruce Ranger.

What A Pearl and Doc’s Krista renew their rivalry in the 2nd race division for three-year-old trotting fillies. Last week Doc’s Krista showed her heels to What A Pearl and wired the field with ease. Also in the race is Crown Candie (post 4).
