Toronto, ON — With Anthony MacDonald in the bike, Worth Remembering celebrated her largest payday of her career in the C$60,000 Ontario Spring Filly Final. Not only did she go off at odds of 35-1, but the trotting-bred filly captured the pacing event for trainer Carmen Auciello.

It was a cavalry charge going into the first turn with Seascape Hanover (Sylvain Filion), Machs Delicacy (Mike Saftic), A and Gs Creek (Jody Jamieson) and Lady Kelleigh Anne all looking for position.

Worth Remembering won the Ontario Spring Filly Final at odds of 35-1.

Lady Kelleigh Anne would finally cross over and take command after a :28.2 opening quarter. Sitting in the pocket was Seascape Hanover ahead of Machs Delicacy and A and Gs Creek.

Lady Kelleigh Anne continued to lead past the half in :57 and into the final turn. Post time favorite, Look Cheap (Mark MacDonald) moved to the outside from fifth position and was able to flush the cover of A and Gs Creek with Patsys Luck (Paul MacDonell) third-over.

Worth Remembering was using a ground saving trip but was still seventh as Lady Kelleigh Anne took her rivals past three-quarters in 1:25.2.

Turning for home, Lady Kelleigh Anne began to tire as the backfield was closing in. Look Cheap was shown clear racetrack and was gaining ground on the outside. Worth Remembering began gaining on her rivals along the rail and Anthony MacDonald had to stick-handle his charge in between pacers in late stretch to score the win in 1:54.2. Look Cheap finished second over Patsys Luck.

Worth Remembering captured her second victory from five career tries.

Robert and Donna Burgess of Cedar Valley, Ontario own the 3-year-old daughter of Ken Warkentin who paid $80.60 for the win.
