Final week of Defiance stallion breeding auction

Edgerton, OH — This is the final week of the silent auction for stallion breedings sponsored by the Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association.

Breedings to eight stallions are available. They include the Ohio pacing stallions Riley’s Luck (Camluck-Out Of School), Stonebridge Tonic (Camluck-Glacier Express), and We Will See (Western Hanover-Aberdakara), the Ohio trotting stallions Southwind Spirit (Muscle Hill-Spice On Ice), The Art Of Lindy (Cantab Hall-Lady Starlet), and Victory Sam (Valley Victory-Raging Sam), and the Indiana pacing stallions Let’s Drink On It (Art Official-Letmedowneasy) and Night Pro (Pro Bono Best-Midnight Jewel).

Bids on all stallions close at 5 p.m. on Saturday (March 30). At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have the opportunity to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out.

The winning bidder on each stallion must pay the Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association 10 percent of the winning bid or $100, whichever is greater, before the mare is bred. The winning bidder must pay the Association the balance of the winning bid when the mare foals in 2020.

Bids on all stallions may be phoned to Bill Peters at 419.298.7408 or e-mailed to trudypeters@williams-net.com.

Any breedings not receiving successful bids by 5 p.m. on March 30 may still be available after that date.
