Harrington, DE — Joyce Keeler’s Finale’s Angel ($5.60, Tony Morgan) set a new track record for 4-year-old pacing mares with a 1:53.2 score on Tuesday (April 24) at Harrington Raceway.
The Incredible Finale mare received a two hole trip behind pacesetting Millwood Ashley N and exploded with pace through the stretch to grab the victory. It was her fourth win of the year and first since entering the barn of Victor Keeler II.
In the first division of the $12,500 Filly and Mare Junior Open, Chris Stefani and Philip Stefani’s Dream A While ($33.80, Art Stafford, Jr.) triumphed in 1:53.2. The Stafford Jr.-trainee never left the rail and found room late to outkick Future Destiny to the wire and win by a head.
Cavalli Pazzi Stables’ Casino Bus ($6.80, Morgan) won the second division in 1:54.
