Freehold, NJ — Foiled Again, the richest horse in harness racing history, will begin his 11-year-old campaign when he qualifies on Saturday (March 7) at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Trained by Ron Burke, Foiled Again has won $6.90 million in his career. He is preparing for the upcoming George Morton Levy Memorial Pacing Series at Yonkers Raceway.

Last year, Foiled Again won six of 26 races and hit the board a total of 19 times on his way to purses of $863,563. His earnings ranked No. 2 among all older pacers in North America, trailing only now-retired former stablemate Sweet Lou. Foiled Again received Dan Patch awards for best older male pacer in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He was Pacer of the Year in 2011.

Foiled Again has won 83 of 224 lifetime starts and posted a total of 171 top-three finishes. He is owned by the Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and JJK Stables.

Joining Foiled Again in qualifying action from the Burke Stable on Saturday will be Bettor’s Edge and Clear Vision.

Four-time Dan Patch Award-winning female pacer Anndrovette will make her first qualifying appearance as she prepares for the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series at Yonkers. Anndrovette’s stablemate in the Jeff Bamond Jr. barn, million-dollar-earner Krispy Apple, also will qualify for the first time.

In addition, millionaire trotter Sevruga is entered to qualify. The 7-year-old Julie Miller trainee will make his second trip around the track, having won a qualifier in 1:55.1 on Feb. 26.
