Pompano Beach, FL — Amante Standardbreds’ Dee Day Fame, a 7-year-old son of Famously, out of the Baltic Speed mare Lady Dee, and a 2004 winner of the Florida Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association bonus, looks for his second straight win on Saturday night (Oct. 10) at the Isle of Capri at Pompano Park.

Dee Day Fame is a first crop son of Famously, who has been the top trotting sire in the state, and his sons and daughters have been multiple stakes winners who have earned in excess of $1 million.

Currently a pair of Famously offspring, Be Famous (Celebrity Descent) and Pocohontas Fame (Native Pine) captured their respective $12,000 finals of the Sunshine State Stakes and are in the running for the $100,000 bonus sponsored by the FSBOA and Pompano Park.

With earnings in excess of $140,000, Dee Day Fame scored his 18th career victory on October 2 with a 1:57.3 victory for Pompano’s leading driver Bruce Ranger.

Harness racing is currently being contested at Pompano Park on Friday and Saturday nights with a 7:05 p.m. post time. The racing schedule will expand to three nights a week next week with Wednesday night racing on October 14.
