Ft. Washington, MD — Russell Foster stole the show on Wednesday night (March 3) at Rosecroft, winning five races including the $12,500 feature for Open Mares with Lincoln’s Girl N in 1:53.3 for owner-trainer Basil Sapienza.

Foster sent the 6-year-old Sir Lincoln mare from post seven and worked out a pocket trip behind Auntmilly’smartini and Luke Hanners. As the field got to the final sixteenth of a mile Foster floated up through the passing lane and held off Bet You Im Rockin and Austin Hanners for the win.

It was the second win in seven starts this season for the mare and first on the local scene at Rosecroft.

Jason Thompson won three races on the night and trainer Ken Schlotzhauer had a pair of wins.
