Toronto, ON — An accident occurred during the sixth race at Woodbine Racetrack on Saturday night, which unseated four drivers.

Whippet Good, driven by Jason Brewer was sixth past the half on the outside when the gelding fell, unseating Brewer, which caused interference to the rest of the field.

St Pete Star, driven by Scott Zeron, and Blended Whiskey, driven by Rick Zeron, could not avoid Whippet Good and both drivers were unseated. Driver Mike Saftic, who was guiding World Away, was also unseated.

Brewer, Saftic and Scott Zeron were able to walk off the track under their own power, while Rick Zeron required medical attention. Zeron was transported to a nearby hospital. Scott Zeron and Saftic booked off the remainder of their drives.

All horses involved escaped serious injury.
