Four finals of Massachusetts Sire Stakes contested at Plainridge

Marlborough, MA — Four finals of the Massachusetts Sire Stakes program closed out the Thursday program at Plainridge Racecourse.

Grabbing top honors in the 3-year-old filly pace was Cbf Fancy, who wired the field in 1:59. Ralph Anderson drives and trains the daughter of Western Cyclone for Glenn Harris, MA.

Next up was the 3-year-old filly trot and Enchanted, with driver/trainer Perry Simser in the bike, holding off Temper Of Will by a neck in 2:01.4. The Conway Hall lass is owned by Robert Guerrini, FL, Mill Valley Vet Clinic, MA and Raymond Campbell Jr., MA.

Jim Hardy drove Baby Bubbly to a wire-to-wire 1:57.3 victory in the 3-year-old colt and gelding pace. Hardy also trains the Village Jolt gelding for owner Stephen Richard, MA.

And finally the 3-year-old colt and gelding trot went to New Identity, who covered the mile in 2:03 for driver Kevin Switzer. Trond Smedshammer trains the son of Cash Hall for owners Raymond Campbell Jr., MA and Francis Garrow, MA.
