Marlborough, MA — Just four live harness racing programs remain at the Bay State’s only Standardbred oval. Plainridge Racecourse officials announced the live cards with post time at 1 p.m. (EST) on Nov. 19 and 23 this week, and Nov. 26 and 29 next week will close out the season.

The track will be open for simulcasting on Thanksgiving and will close that day at 4 p.m., accoprding to CCO Gary Piontkowski.

Lisa Watson gets first training win

Congratulations go out to Lisa Watson, who gained her first training win with Serious Kid, driven by her husband, Wallace Watson, on Nov. 12.

The Watsons are longtime horsemen at Plainridge and a few years ago they were cited by Gary Piontkowski for making the long trip regularly from their home in Maine to race at Plainridge.
