A severe storm in the Northeast has forced tracks to cancel their Friday harness racing programs. Below are the releases that have been sent by the respective tracks.
Live racing canceled at Meadowlands Racetrack
East Rutherford, NJ — Due to the winter storm and high winds, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment has canceled live racing for Friday (March 2).
The Meadowlands and Winners Bayonne OTW remain open for day and night simulcasting.
Live racing resumes Saturday (March 3) with a 6:35 p.m. first post.
The $30,202 Pick-5 carryover with a $125,000 guarantee will kick off Saturday with race three. Past performances for the Pick-5 (races three-seven), $50,000 Pick-4 (races eight-11) and the Race 13 Jackpot Super High 5 with a $120,134 carryover are available at http://playmeadowlands.com/content.aspx?id=3357.

Yonkers’ Friday live card, evening simulcasting canceled
Yonkers, NY — The wind and the snow and the rain has forced Yonkers Raceway to cancel Friday night’s (March 2) live racing program.
Evening simulcasting has also been scrapped, though afternoon simulcasting is available until approximately 6 p.m. It’s the Raceway’s first full-card cancelation of the season.
Live racing is scheduled to resume Saturday night (March 3) with a first post of 6:50 p.m.
