France’s Nicolas Ensch wins Drivers’ Cup race

Paris, France — Friday (June 24) was the busiest day yet for Team America while in Paris for the third and fourth legs of the inaugural Drivers’ Cup.

The group traveled by bus in the morning to the famous Grosbois training center just outside of the city. There, they were able to jog horses from Bjorn Goop’s stable through the wooded jog trails that cover the more than 430 acre facility.

You can jog along at Grosbois with the footage from multiple GoPro cameras and USTA Multimedia Coordinator and cameraman Rich Johnston, who sat alongside Jason Bartlett.

After spending the early part of the day at Grosbois, the group headed to Vincennes for a night at the races and the third leg of the Drivers’ Cup. Team America did not fare as well at Vincennes as they did back in March on their home turf at Yonkers Raceway. France’s Nicolas Ensch took the win easily with Bambou de Calvi.

Team America still holds a lead with the score at 103-89, but with the French closing in they will need a stronger showing on Sunday.
