The presenter for this free Webinar on “Managing Equine Joint Disease” is David Frisbie, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVS, of Colorado State University. He will be assisted in the live Question and Answer session by Craig Shoemaker, DVM, a Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica equine professional services veterinarian and former private practitioner.

Frisbie is an assistant professor and researcher with the Colorado State University’s Gail Holmes Equine Orthopaedic Research Center. He has specialized in research and treatment of equine joint disease. His current joint disease research focus is in two fields: 1) the evaluation of intra-articular therapeutics and their effects on joint disease; and 2) new methods of cartilage repair. These methods include cutting edge technology aimed at arthroscopic repair of cartilage in the athletic horse. Frisbie is also exploring methods to augment fracture healing in both noninfected and infected cases using gene transfer. His research interests include gene therapy, intra-articular therapeutics, and new methods of cartilage repair.
