Freehold hosts second leg of Harold Kelly Memorial Pace

Freehold, NJ — The second leg of the SBOANJ sponsored Harold Kelly Memorial Pacing Series took place on Saturday (Jan. 16) at Freehold Raceway with six divisions.

Frankandjoanne took the first division for driver Jim Marohn Jr. and trainer Dawn Anderson in 1:59. Driver George Brennan teamed up with trainer Scott Di Domenico, winning the second division with Nothing To Prove in 1:58.3. Steve Smith piloted Panter’s Pinot for trainer Michael Russo to the winner’s circle in 1:56.3 to win the third division. The fourth division went to Taste Of History for driver Austin Siegelman and trainer Edwin Quevedo, also in 1:56.3. Siegelman also won the fifth division with I Am The Cowboy in 1:59.1 for trainer Michael Fiumenero. The last division on the card went to Pirates Alley in 1:56.4 for driver George Brennan and trainer John Wyatt.

Freehold resumes racing on Thursday with a post time of 12:30 p.m.

The SBOANJ sponsored Vinny Fusco Jr. Memorial Pacing Series finals will be held on Friday (Jan. 22) and the finals of the Harold Kelly Memorial Pace will be on Saturday (Jan. 23). The top eight horses with the most points will be drawn into each final.
