Columbus, OH — The New Jersey Racing Commission has granted Freehold Raceway 168 racing dates for the 2010 season.

The winter/spring meet will open on January 1 and run through through June 5 for a total of 89 dates. The track will be dark on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, with the following exceptions: Monday, January 18 and Monday, February 15 will feature holiday racing programs. Additional dark days will be Wednesday, January 20; Wednesday, February 17; and Wednesday, June 2.

The summer/fall meet will commence on August 12 and go through December 31 for 79 dates. Dark days will again be Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, except for Monday, September 6 and Monday, October 11. Additional dark days will be Wednesday, September 8; Wednesday, October 13; Thursday, November 25; Friday, December 24 and Saturday, December 25.
