Dresden, ON — In its heyday during the 1980s, Dresden Raceway raced four nights per week including Friday and Saturday nights under the lights. The light standards have been taken out for safety reasons but Dresden Raceway is geared up to race this Friday night with a 5 p.m. post time.

The 10-race card features six dashes on the pace and four on the trot. Dresden Raceway is hoping to draw people out for a fun family night at the track including half price hot dogs.

“We are hoping that people will have the family come out for an inexpensive dinner and a great night of family fun,” said Lucille Laprise, Dresden Agricultural Society President. “We will also be having our regular draws and giveaways throughout the evening so it will be another fun filled night of racing.”

The extra card of racing was added after the opening day card of racing was canceled when heavy rains deteriorated the track to the point it was not safe to race.
