Game Of Shadows blitzes back half, wins Meadows $16,000 Distaff Pace

Washington, PA – Game Of Shadows threw down a :55 back half en-route to a convincing victory in Wednesday’s (May 11) $16,000 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

After giving Game Of Shadows a :29.4 second-quarter breather, Hunter Myers unleashed her. The 4-year-old daughter of Shadow Play-Cheyenne Ava responded by pouring it on, scoring in 1:51.4 to match her lifetime mark. The pocket-sitting Tonianne was second, two lengths back, while Ellasen shot the Lightning Lane for show.

Paul Corey trains Game Of Shadows, who now has banked $188,714, for Kenneth Ashba.

Aaron Merriman piloted a pair of winners on the 11-race card.
