Gardner triples Saturday at Saratoga

Saratoga Springs, NY — Andy Gardner sent three trainees to the track on Saturday (Nov. 25) evening as victors in their respective classes at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

Horsche got the ball rolling in race three with a victory in a blanket finish at the wire in a conditioned pace worth $9,500. The Gardner student with Jim Devaux in tow scored by a head in 1:54.3 for owner Room4040 LLC Stables.

In race four, Way Too Sweet and Devaux doubled up tallies for Gardner with a one length triumph in 1:56.2. Way Too Sweet took the first leg of the Charlie Hoffman Pace, worth $10,000, for owners George Tackley and Wendy Storrier.

Gardner returned for his third win photo of the night with East End, driven by Billy Dobson, in the $11,500 conditioned pace. Owned by Percy Elkins, East End scored by three-quarters of a length in 1:52.4 to complete the training hat trick.

Parked three wide to the quarter in :27.1, the Jackie Greene student fought for the lead. Once Im No Outlaw achieved open ground from the pylons, he soared through panels in :56 and 1:24.2 before posting a 3-3/4 length triumph in 1:53.1 in the feature. Primo Uomo (John MacDonald) finished second and American Zest A (Matthew Athearn) grabbed third.

Owned by Kellogg Racing Stables LLC and Jackie Greene Stables LLC, the eight-year-old gelded son of Bettors Delight earned his sixth win of the year and 27th career tally, pushing his lifetime bankroll to $224,077.

Brett Beckwith and Jim Devaux each scored with four wins apiece on the Saturday evening card.

Racing at the Spa continues on Sunday (Nov. 26) afternoon for a matinee card with a first post at Noon.
