Columbus, OH — Gene Elisha Daisey Sr., 84, died Sept. 29, 2022, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Salisbury, Md., he was the son of the late Harry Law and Mary Almira Vickers Daisey and graduated from Lord Baltimore High School.

Mr. Daisey was a Standardbred trainer and a member of the U.S. Trotting Association.

He also enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Alfred.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Alice Faye Wingate Daisey; sons, Gene E. (Charlia) Jr. and Scott; adored grandchildren, who PopPop affectionately named “Big Goose” and “Little Goose,” Gene III and Charlene; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services.
