Gerald Latessa Sr., 92, dies

Orlando, FL – Former Cleveland resident Gerald Latessa Sr., 92, passed away in The Villages, Florida where he had resided with his beloved wife, Angeline the last 14 years.

After serving in the Navy he worked for Lincoln Electric and along with son Gerald Jr. owned and trained horses, based mainly at Northfield Park and the Lake County fairgrounds in Painesville.

Latessa campaigned multiple NYSS winners and was extremely proud of his small family stable. Going back into the 70s some of his notable were Nevele Napoleon, Hatt Trick Hanover, Sly Beau and world champion Sly Attorney.

Besides his wife, Gerald leaves behind children Gerald Jr. (Paula), Donald (Joan) and daughter Lisa (Paul) Zanglin. Nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
