Giant Arbitration wires DBSF Fillies trot at Dover Downs

Dover, DE – Giant Arbitration went wire-to-wire and won the $50,700 3-year-old DBSF Fillies Trot Final at Dover Downs on Monday (March 28) night.

Giant Arbitration and driver Russell Foster set race fractions of :29.2, 1:00.1, and 1:31.3.

Franky Doyle, the 1-2 race favorite, moved first over down the backstretch and challenged pacesetter Giant Arbitration to the three-quarters. In the stretch, Giant Arbitration dug in and won by a neck in 2:04.3. She paid $6 to win. Franky Doyle was second for trainer Bobby Glassmeyer and driver Pat Berry. Antares Star was third for trainer Robert White and driver Roger Plante Jr.

Giant Arbitration (Political Briefing) is owned by Christopher Lee Offutt and Michael J. Offutt, both from Maryland.

The inaugural $20,000 War Horse Invitational Pace was won by Rocket Da Red in 1:55.3 for trainer Carlo Poliseno. Mike Cole drove.

Foxbriar Romeo was second for trainer Robert Sampson. Trae Porter drove. Big Secret was third for trainer Don Brittingham with Bret Brittingham driving.

Tuesday (March 29) night’s Open/Preferred trot features Swan In Motion, who has won four consecutive races. His main competition will come from Meadowlands shippers JL Cruze and Yanks Dugout. The race is scheduled for the 12th race.

The $51,350 Late Closing series for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters (DSBF eligibles) is also on the betting card. Post time at Dover Downs is 4:30 p.m.
