Band Of Angels equaled the track record of 1:54.4.
Band Of Angels (Rock N Roll Heaven-Time N Again) matched the track record for 2-year-old pacing fillies behind a wire-to-wire 1:54.4 win in her $54,500 Sire Stake division. The victory matched the lifetime mark for the filly who moved her career record to three-for-three with the front running score.
Burke trained fillies Sassa Hanover (Rock N Roll Heaven-Sayo Hanover) and Bettor N Better (Bettor’s Delight-Vanite Semalu) each recorded 1:55 wins on the front end with Gingras in the sulky.
Burke’s trio of freshman fillies are now nine-for-nine this season as they have dominated the first month of Sire Stakes action for 2-year-olds.
Live racing continues on Thursday night at Saratoga with a 7:05 p.m. first post.
