The girls were each treated to a pony ride from Miss Judy C.

With the help of volunteer Shelly Larose, the group of eight were able to experience many aspects of horse care including grooming, cleaning feet and scrubbing buckets, and they were each treated to a pony ride from Miss Judy C at the end of their learning experience.

Miss Judy C is a former Maryland stakes champion. She has been in the HLU adoption program for several years and her adoption status is currently pending.

Each girl earned a badge for their work and received a Standardbred Star coloring book to take home.

Only one of the girls had any experience with horses. They are in the 8-9 year old age range.
