Northfield, OH – There’s an old adage which states “when you’re hot, you’re hot” and that is just exactly what Go Go George is after having won the $8,400 GLADA trot again Saturday night (May 22) at Northfield Park.

With Larry Ferrari at the controls they stopped the clock at 1:56.1 for the veteran trotter’s fourth win in his last six starts.

Understandably being sent off as the favorite from post two in the nine-horse field, Ferrari wasted little time sending George to the lead when the starter said “go” and they reached the first stanza in :28.3.

When Floyd Rhodes moved Back Door Man off the pylons to challenge for the lead, the two trotters raced side-by-side past the half in :59 and they were noses apart when they trotted by the three quarters in 1:28. While that was happening Vernon Beachy enjoyed a covered two-hole trip with Big Bad Caviar and when Back Door Man’s stride shortened, Beachy and his trotter  ranged up and moved alongside Go Go George. But Farrari’s trotter was up to the challenge and when they headed for pay dirt, Big Bad Caviar struggled and a game Go Go George trotted on to a 1-1/4 length triumph. Big Bad Caviar finished second, 2-1/2 lengths ahead of third place finisher Back Door Man.

Go Go George, a 7-year-old altered son of Neely Dunn, is owned by Kiesha Ferrari and trained by his driver. He returned a $4.40 win mutuel.
