DOVER, Del. — Veteran trotter Goalfish reached the half-million dollar mark in career earnings after a 1:55.1 victory in the last $24,000 Open Handicap Trot of the Dover Downs 2003-04 on Wednesday, April 21.

The track’s 35th season comes to a close on Thursday, April 22. Four $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund finals for three-year-olds highlight the final card. Awards for Horse of the Meet and leading driver and trainer will also be handed out.

A thick fog set in at the start of the feature race and continued for the rest of the program. Mic Mac Jack sat third the route for Jim King. Goalfish has now won $502,394 in his career for owners Ingrassia and Arden Homestead Stable.
