East Rutherford, NJ — Golden Receiver seized command at the half and never looked back en route to a 1 1-2-length victory in the first of three $12,500 Art Unger Stake divisions Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands.

Driven by George Brennan, Golden Receiver was clocked in 1:53 as he rolled to his seventh win in 12 career starts. Sent off the 2-5 favorite, Golden Receiver paid $3.00, $2.40 and $2.10 in the afternoon’s third race. Ooh Dear Sam [$5.00, $2.60] flashed a final panel of 26.4 to finish second, while Rock Creek Rocky [$2.80] held third off a pocket trip.

Driven by David Miller and trained by Ken Rucker, Red Mile Road posted his first win in three starts this season. Real Samart captured the final Art Unger division, prevailing by 1 1/4 lengths over Red Star Catch in 1:52.3, in rein to Yannick Gingras.
