Saratoga, NY — Gotalottacredit (Credit Winner) sprung the upset in the Friday (March 3) feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

Gotalottacredit visits the winner’s circle at Saratoga on Friday.

The Dave Dewhurst trainee sat the pocket in the $7,500 conditional trot for New York-sired highsteppers and wound up on the lead when the race’s front-runner made a break heading to the three-quarter pole.

Gotalottacredit held off the late challenge from rival Intensify (Phil Fluet) before stopping the timer in 2:00.3 on a cold, windy night.

Longshot Yessir I’m Royal (Brian Cross) earned the show spot. Gotalottacredit, who was driven to the upset victory by Jimmy Devaux, returned $31.20 to win and led an exacta and triple that paid $126 and $797, respectively.

Live racing continues on Saturday night (March 4) at Saratoga with first post time set for 6:45 p.m.
