This Week: Maywood Park Grand Circuit, Maywood Park, Melrose Park, Illinois

Schedule of events: The Grand Circuit at Maywood features four stakes on the Friday (Nov. 16) card. On tap will be the $215,000 Windy City Pace for 3-year-old colts, the $110,000 Abe Lincoln for 2-year-old colt pacers, the $108,000 Galt Memorial for 3-year-old colt trotters and the $83,000 Cinderella for 3-year-old filly pacers.

Tim Tetrick and Market Share won the $235,000 American-National 3-year-old colt trot.

Last time: Tim Tetrick won three of the eight American-National races this past Saturday (Nov. 10) at Balmoral Park. He piloted Market Share to the winner’s circle in the $235,000 event for 3-year-old colt trotters, Chapter Seven in the $180,000 open trotting race and American Jewel in the $145,000 3-year-old filly pace.

The other five American-National winners were Our Lucky Chip and Trace Tetrick in the $260,000 3-year-old colt pace; Foreclosure N and Andy Miller in the $182,000 open pace; Our Dragon King and Brian Carpenter in the $157,000 2-year-old colt pace; Maven and Yannick Gingras in the $130,000 3-year-old filly trot; and Always About Katey and Todd Warren in the $113,000 2-year-old filly pace.

Grand Circuit Driving Standings: Tim Tetrick has once again extended his lead in the Grand Circuit driving standings as he now has 34 winners in 2012. Yannick Gingras holds downs second place with 22 victories. David Miller is in third place with 20 triumphs. Ron Pierce checks in fourth with 14 wins. Dave Palone is in fifth place with 13 victories. John Campbell, Andy Miller, Jim Morrill, Jr., Brian Sears and Jimmy Takter are tied for sixth place with eight victories apiece.

Looking ahead: This is the final stop in 2012 for the Grand Circuit. The 2013 schedule will be released in January.
