Granvillaise Bleue is fastest ever under saddle trotter at Vincennes

The 6-year-old mare Granvillaise Bleu became the fastest under saddle trotter ever at Vincennes, Paris, France winning a race over 1-5-16th miles with a standing start in 1:52.3 (mile rate).

Granvillaise Bleu is trained by Pierre Levesque and he had his daughter Camille Levesque, in the saddle.

Granvillaise Bleu is sired by Jag de Bellouet, and she is one of best under saddle trotters in France. She finished second in this year’s Prix de Cornulier — the richest under saddle race in the world — and she is a Group One winner (Prix de Centaures).

Granvillaise Bleu has raced 49 times and has 10 wins and earnings of 872,760 Euros. She is the 11th foal from her dam and by far the best.

On the same card at Vincennes, two wild cards for the Prix d’Amerique were handed to the 5-year-old Horsy Dream, trained by Pierre Belloche and with Eric Raffin in the bike, and to the 4-year-old Idao de Tillard, trained by Thierry Duvaldestin and with his son, Clement, driving.

Horsy Dream, sired by Scipion du Goutier by Goetmals Wood, won the Prix Tenor de Baune, while Idao de Tillard, sired by Severino by Gobernador, won the Criterium Continental. Both were Group One races with a total purse of 200,000 Euro.
