Monticello, NY — Greg Merton won three consecutive races at Monticello Raceway on Monday (Nov. 9).

The triple started in the fifth race aboard Partagas Blue Chip as the 5-year-old daughter of Shadow Play picked up her second win of the season as she went wire-to-wire to score in 1:59 ($6.80) for trainer Thomas Merton.

Spilling The Beans was next up. The Camluck mare took a ton of air on the outside, but prevailed in 1:57.1 ($9.70) to notch her fourth seasonal win.

In race seven it was the Thomas Milici trainee Checkout Terror who went down the road to win by a scant neck over Kiss My Sass in 1:58.2 ($2.50).

Greg is currently in fifth place for leading dash winning drivers at Monticello with 60 wins.
