Gregory Hostetler, 53, dies

Columbus, OH — Gregory Alan Hostetler, 53, died Jan. 2, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Hostetler was born in Elkhart County on Nov. 30, 1962, the son of Mervin and Margaret (Miller) Hostetler. On April 16, 1999, he married Teri Beth Leannais.

He was a well-respected Standardbred horseman and was very passionate about his profession.

His hobbies included playing the guitar, golfing and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Teri Beth; children, Zachary, Andrew, Erica (Izaak) Landgraff, Jordan (Lynsey) and Eden (Brian) Miller; grandchildren, Cole, Cash, Kenady, Declan, Kalaya and Easton; siblings, Sharee (Frank) Hartman, Lynnell (Jim) Eash, Bradley (Cynthia), Diantha and Todd (Lou Anne); brother and sister-in-law, Diana (Craig) Few; mother and father-in-law, Davetta (Frank) Tagariello; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend and dog, Chewy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Lee; and brother-in-law, Daniel Leannais.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service on Saturday (Jan. 9) at New Life Fellowship, 2755 Ind. 5, Topeka. The Revs. Drew Ryall and Larry Byrnes will officiate. Private cremation committal took place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
