Guaranteed pools in Pick-5 & Late Pick-4 wagers at Hawthorne Sunday

Stickney, IL — A big 12-race Sunday evening (July 9) card at Hawthorne will get a bit more of a boost through guaranteed pools in the Pick-5 and the Late Pick-4 wagers. No players correctly selected all five winners for the Pick-5 on Saturday evening at Hawthorne, leaving a $4,504 carryover into tonight’s card.

Through Hawthorne’s partnership with the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program, a $15,000 guaranteed pool will be offered for the Sunday Pick-5, which begins on race one.

Hawthorne continues to partner with the Strategic Wagering Program for the Late Pick-4 wager, offering a $20,000 guaranteed pool, beginning on race nine on Sunday night.

For both sets of wagers, free past performances are available at the United States Trotting Association website, www.ustrotting.com in the “Handicapping” section.

Additionally, the Jackpot High-5 wager at Hawthorne continues to carry over, building to a current level of $218,292. For the 20-cent base minimum wager, a single ticket winner would take the entire pool. If no player correctly selects the top five finishers in order for race 12, the entire pool would carryover. In cases of multiple winners, 50 percent of the pool will be paid out to winners while the other 50 percent will be added to the carryover.

First post on Sunday evening at Hawthorne is 7:10 p.m.
