Hambletonian, Jug to be broadcast on SiriusXM

The Hambletonian and the Little Brown Jug will be broadcast live on both Sirius and XM satellite radio. SiriusXM now has over 20 million subscribers in North America.

The Hambletonian is the premier event for 3-year-old trotters. With prize money of more than $1.5 million, it is the richest trotting race in history. This will be the 84th edition of the Hambletonian, and the 29th time it has been raced at The Meadowlands.

Sirius XM will broadcast the Hambletonian live this Saturday afternoon with Dave Johnson and Bill Finley on Sirius 122 and XM 143 from 4 to 5 p.m. eastern time. Track announcer Sam McKee will call the race.

The Little Brown Jug is the showcase event for 3-year-old pacers. The 70th edition of this American classic will be contested at the Delaware Country Fair in Delaware, Ohio, on Thursday afternoon, September 24. A crowd of over 50,000 is expected to be in attendance.

A two hour live broadcast on Sirius and XM is now planned for 5 to 7 p.m. eastern time for the Little Brown Jug.
