Hambletonian trotters in action in Sweden

Next Tuesday (April 17), 2017 Hambletonian winner Perfect Spirit will race for the first time in his new home country of Sweden.

Enterprise (No. 1) won at Bergsaker on Wednesday night.

Perfect Spirit, who now is trained by Daniel Redén, is entered in a race for 4-year-old trotters at Solvalla, where he will have Orjan Kihlström in the bike. For the first time ever, Perfect Spirit will have to race with a standing start, as he will race 20 meters behind scratch. The distance is 1-5/16th miles.

Another Hambletonian trotter from last year, Enterprise, who won an elimination and finished third in the final, has now raced twice in Sweden.

Enterprise, who is trained by Stefan “Tarzan” Melander, finished fourth in his debut on April 3 , but Wednesday night (April 11) he won at Bergsaker in northern Sweden, driven by Per Linderoth. Enterprise was timed in 1:58.1f (mile rate) and the distance was 1-5/16th miles.
