Ft. Washington, MD — Howard Taylor’s Handsome Henry K rallied from off the pace to score a victory in the $12,000 Open Pace at Rosecroft Tuesday night (Oct. 4).

Driver Jonathan Roberts steered the 7-year-old son of Western Ideal into a perfect cover trip behind Diamondkeeper (Roger Plante), who wore down pacesetter Rock On Precious who set fractions of :26.2, :55.3 and 1:23.3. Handsome Henry K won by the slimmest of margins in the photo in 1:51.1. Michael Hall conditions the winner.

It was the 40th career win for Handsome Henry K who is closing in on $400,000 in lifetime earnings.

The fastest mile of the night went to Rock N Roll Jet who notched a victory for Kim Vincent in 1:50.4 in an $8,000 conditioned event.

Roberts won three races on the card, while Justin Vincent posted two.
