Harness AM scores front-end victory in Meadows co-feature

Washington, PA – Aided by a :31.1 second-quarter breather, Harness AM fashioned an easy front-end victory in Wednesday’s (Aug.18) co-feature at The Meadows, a $10,300 Filly & Mare Conditioned Trot.

Harness AM had to duel through a contested :28.1 opening panel in the slop, but once he crossed over and winning driver Brady Brown slammed on the brakes, the 4-year-old daughter of Father Patrick-Noblesse Blue Chip had things her way, scoring in 1:56.3. The rallying Tamar finished second, two lengths back, while the first-over Tuesday Morning raced well for show. It was one of three victories for Brown on the 13-race card.

In Wednesday’s other co-feature, a $10,300 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace, Something Reel, a 5-year-old daughter of Westwardho Hanover-I’m A Reelist, notched her second straight for Dave Palone, trainer Brandon Presto and owner Larry Parlin.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (Aug 19) when the 13-race program features a pair of carryovers — $17,001.71 in the final-race Super Hi-5, $1,016.15 in the Pick-5 (race 8). First post is 12:45 p.m.
