Harness Racing Museum promotes new Maine Standardbred publication

from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Goshen, NY — The Maine Spirit of the Turf is a new 19th century-styled periodical distributed online in PDF format. The Maine Spirit blends the old and the new and in doing so promotes and celebrates Maine’s agricultural fairs and the Standardbred horse. As the official publication of The Lost Trotting Parks Heritage Center, the Maine Spirit shares the stories and images of the 19th century horseman and the more than 100 lost trotting parks that once existed in the State of Maine.

The latest edition of the Maine Spirit of the Turf can be found on the Museum’s website at www.harnessmuseum.com. The link is located near the bottom of the site’s splash page.

The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame provides this link in support of its Mission: dedication to comprehensive, active and authoritative support and promotion of the Standardbred industry through documentation and preservation of the history and traditions of this American-born sport.

The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame is located at 240 Main Street in Goshen, New York, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last tour 4 p.m.) Thanks to United States Trotting Association support we are currently offering free admission for walk-in visitors and $4.00/person for group docent-guided tours.
