Harness Racing Museum to hold St. Patrick’s Day Parade workshop

from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Goshen, NY — Before attending the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Goshen, bring the kids (ages 3-11) to the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame.

On Sunday, March 13, from 10:30 a.m. through 2 p.m., the Museum will offer a fun-filled open house, complete with horse-themed crafts and games, Irish refreshments, and a ride on the Harness Racing 3-D Simulator, all for $3 per child — and adults are free! This is a walk-in event; no reservations are necessary. For more information, call 845.294.6330.

Seamus McGee, our Irish Standardbred mascot, will greet visitors to celebrate the day. Children can create a “Luck of the Irish” horseshoe pin, perfect to wear for the parade. We’ll also have a “Try Your Luck” horseshoe toss game, where kids will have the chance to win a prize.

Everyone’s welcome to enjoy a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate and a slice of traditional Irish soda bread. Afterwards, take an exciting ride on our 3D Harness Racing Simulator for an unforgettable experience. An as an added bonus, take 20 percent off any green-colored item in our museum gift shop; maybe even find yourself something green to wear to the parade!
