Harold ‘Buck’ Gray, Sr., 73, dies

Columbus, OH — Harold J. “Buck” Gray, Sr., 73, of Bishopville, Md., died March 11, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Mr. Gray was born in Bishopville and was a son of the late Searus and Edna (Tubbs) Gray.

He was a Standardbred driver and trainer for many years. He had also been a paddock judge at Ocean Downs for 14 years and had worked part time at the Casino at Ocean Downs. He was a member of the USTA and Zion United Methodist Church in Bishopville. He had been a member and a director for 18 years of the Cloverleaf Standardbred Owners Association.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Harold J. “Bucky” Jr.; daughter, Susan; sister, Helen Massey; granddaughter, Cameron Ellen; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday (March 16) at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville, where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. before the service.
