Chester, PA — Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack has announced a 150-day live racing schedule for 2012, divided into two meets, similarly to the 2011 season.

The 109-day Spring-Summer meet will begin on Friday, March 9, and will continue through Friday, September 14, on a Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Sunday schedule. First post will generally be 12:40 p.m.

Additional days of racing are scheduled for Saturday, May 5 (Kentucky Derby), Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day), and Monday, September 3 (Labor Day). Chester will be dark on Sunday, April 8 (Easter), along with Sunday, May 6, and Sunday, September 9.

After a three-week break, the 41-day Fall meet will open on Sunday, October 7, maintaining a Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Sunday schedule through October. In November and December, racing will primarily take place on a Sunday-Wednesday schedule, with closing day slated for Wednesday, December 19.
