Harrah’s Hoosier Park seeks track announcer

Anderson, IN — Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino management announced today that they are seeking an experienced track announcer for the upcoming harness racing season.

The track announcer position has potential to be a full-time, salaried position with benefits or be tailored to a per diem schedule. Track announcer experience in harness racing is required.

Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s 28th season of live racing will begin on Friday (March 26) and extend through Saturday (Dec. 4). With a daily post time of 6:30 p.m., Harrah’s Hoosier Park will offer 160 days of racing and bring back Sunday live racing cards.

Beginning on March 26, racing will be held on a Wednesday through Saturday schedule through mid-May before adding Sunday evenings. The full schedule continues through September before dropping back down to a Wednesday through Saturday schedule through Dec. 4. For the first time ever, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will also offer live racing on both the night before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving night.
