Harrah’s Philadelphia Hi-5 hit for $41,000

Chester, PA — The Harrah’s Philadelphia Jackpot Hi-5 was hit on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 2), and one correct player was rewarded with a $41,082.68 dividend.

After starting in the back row, Valley Of Sin ($73.20, Victor Kirby) circled cover up the backstretch on his way to a 35-1 upset in the afternoon’s fifth race, followed by 19-1 runner-up What That Is. The two keyed a 9-7-3-2-1 combination which produced the massive payout.

The Jackpot Hi-5 is a 20-cent base wager that requires players to select the first five finishers of the fifth race each day at Harrah’s Philadelphia. The carryover is paid out in the event of one unique winning ticket on a given day.

Racing returns to Harrah’s Philadelphia on Thursday (Oct. 3), with first post at 12:25 p.m. (EDT).
