Chester, PA — Closing day of the 2016 Harrah’s Philadelphia harness meet will be on Monday (Dec. 12) with a first post of 12:40 p.m.

The suburban Philadelphia oval saw plenty of highlights in 2016, which culminated with the track’s 10th anniversary celebration on Sept. 9.

Fans also witnessed pacing superstar Wiggle It Jiggleit shatter the all-age track record, pacing the mile in a stunning 1:47.3. The previous mark was co-owned by Mister Big and Artistic Fella (1:48).

The 2-year-old colt and 2-year-old gelding track records for trotters were broken as well. World champion Don Dream (Dave Miller) tied the mark for colts on 1:55.2 in Sept. 11, that Muscles Jared (John Campbell) set for geldings (1:55.2) just 10 days earlier.

Harrah’s Philadelphia would like to thank the horsemen and racing fans for a great season. We are looking forward to another action-packed year in 2017.
